Fiber Driver® Product Line

MRV’s Fiber Driver line of products provides a full range of solutions for media conversion, signal repeating, and fiber-optimization, including CWDM and DWDM systems.  Both managed and unmanaged solutions are available, including rack-mount, modular systems and desktop systems.  The Fiber Driver line includes several families of products with 100s of modules and system options for any type of optical or copper technology, covering virtually every protocol in use in networking today.

TereScope Product Line MRV is the leader in Free-Space Optics through its TereScope™ product line.  Free-Space Optics (also known as “FSO”, or “Optical Wireless”) is an optical data, voice and video transmission system. Like fiber optic cable, FSO communications systems use laser light to transmit a digital signal between two transceivers. However, unlike fiber, the laser light is transmitted through the air (free-space) instead of through a glass strand. In order for the digital signal to be transmitted and received, there must be clear line of site between each FSO unit. In other words, there should be no obstructions such as trees or buildings between the transceiver units. The TereScope™ family of Free-Space Optics (FSO) products provides low-cost, high-speed wireless connectivity for a variety of last-mile applications. Modular IP/MPLS Ethernet Switch/ Routers
The OptiSwitch-M provides a wire speed IP routing solution without sacrificing any of the features required to build a scalable network. This is achieved by using a powerful hardware engine with network processors implemented on every port. These custom programmable processors are highly efficient and capable of analyzing and modifying any part of a frame at wire speeds. Additionally, the network processor can classify and prioritize each frame and enable per flow decisions such as: scheduling, routing, forwarding, rate limiting, and filtering.

The In-Reach product family from MRV Communications is designed for network administrators and system operators who are unable to afford the economic and business consequences of operational downtime. Lambda Driver Overview
Fiber Access Solution

The LambdaDriver® series consists of multi-functional, compact modular Wavelength Division Multiplexing (WDM) systems that can create up to 32 independent virtual fiber optic links over a single pair of fibers over distances of up to 100 km. The LambdaDriver systems are targeted for Carriers' central offices or multi-tenant office buildings and are ideally suited for MAN networks as well as large enterprise and Access networks.

The product supports different network topologies such as PTP, Linear OADM and Ring. The LambdaDriver family operates in a DWDM and CWDM technology. Each data stream can handle rates from 8 Mbps up to 10 Gbps.
